Doily clock completed

This clock uses the Anabelia doily shown in a previous post. My dad built the clock background and installed the movement on the back, and found, painted, and assembled the hands. I like the striking modern appearance combined with the Victorian delicacy of the doily and hands.

 

Starting a dark-colored prayer shawl

For this one, after a series of shawls in pastels, I'm using Caron Simply Soft Dark Country Blue and Dark Sage, along with Chocolate and a maroon if I can find it. The pattern is Engineered Crochet's Shell Stitch 01010, same as the one before last.

I want to make this.

Fancy half-moon shawl

A lot of people admire this shawl; it's all over the net. I don't know whether I could actually do it or not. An image search will turn up the diagram for it (no written pattern, and a good thing, too).
