Pulled thread: cobbler stitch and alternately set four-sided stitch

Cobbler stitch. This is done on burlap for lack of a better loosely-woven material. Burlap is not even-weave, so the openings with the crosses are a bit elongated. Also, each wrap is done twice because once just doesn't pull burlap tightly enough.

Below: Alternately set four-sided stitches: same as regular four-sided stitch, but set one-half off. I like this, but it's hard to do.

Dark-colored prayer shawl progresses

Here it is as of March 7, 2016:
crocheted shawl in blue, green, brown

For this one, after a series of shawls in pastels, I'm using Caron Simply Soft Dark Country Blue and Dark Sage, along with Chocolate and a maroon if I can find it. The pattern is Engineered Crochet's Shell Stitch 01010, same as the one before last.
